How do I make a Japanese sliding door for my classroom?
I am not a carpenter and I can't get a carpenter to make me one because he's too busy with other stuff. Can you suggest ways on how to make a Japanese sliding door that's made out of paper or whatever you can suggest that doesn't involve any carpentry?? O___O It will just serve as a small divider
You can purchase 4 tracks about 8 foot long an about 3/4" thick, made like a u. Screw two of them together at both ends. Do this again to the other pair or u-tracks. Put one 1" by 2" about 6 feet tall on both ends, by screwing the tracks and the 1"x 2" together. Then make 4 rectangle doors about 2 feet wide out of the same material as the ends(1"x2") only to fit up into the top tracks and down into the bottom tracks. You should have 4 door frames two in one track and two in the other track, then put paper or cloth on the 1"x2" `s with staples. Last but not least, you need to put one block(2"x4"x about 2' long) on each end at the bottom of this frame,so you can stand this wall of doors up. The 2"x 4" `s are to stable the wall from falling over. I know this is a lot of info. to understand but your question reads "I am not a carpenter". Hope this helped ! Good luck !
