Improving wireless key chain remote for car connection, to lock and unlock doors?
I have a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor SUV, sometimes the remote lock, unlock key chain thing (key fob) works perfectly, sometimes it does not work very well or even at all, even if I am standing right next to it, even if I am like a foot away. I just replaced the battery for it a couple days ago and it still is not working properly all the time. What can I do to fix this?
If you replaced the battery with a good new battery of the same battery number and voltage and put it in with the positive side the right side up, you may have contacts that are not tensioned enough. They are located on the edge of the battery holder and on the Circuit Board. If that does not help, try a new remote, it would not be the first time a remote went bad. Only buy remotes from the Mitsubishi parts department and have your vin number with you so you get the correct one.
